True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dedicated and creative individual to join our Communications & Content team


Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, the
Coordinator, Communications & Content will be responsible for supporting all True North brands with creative, engaging and informative internal and external communications to support True North 's overall corporate communications and content initiatives.


What to be excited for in this role:


Communications & Media:


  • Develop communication plans, write news releases, make media pitches, and assist in planning and executing media events including news conferences
  • Assist with coordinating, facilitating and tracking media interviews
  • Collaborate with True North teams and provide guidance on best practice communications strategies and tactics

Content:


  • Showcase your storytelling skills, writing many forms of content for True North's various brands and platforms including articles, radio and PA reads, and social posts
  • Contribute to/manage True North's corporate social media platforms
  • Contribute to the planning, content creation and design of True North's internal communications and publications and external annual report
  • Serve as a field producer for both internal and external video projects as needed

Other Responsibilities:


  • Provide comprehensive support for internal and external communication needs across all True North departments, collaborating with both inhouse and thirdparty service providers
  • Provide additional administrative support including website updating, contact list management, media scanning, and perform other duties and tasks as assigned, including special project research

What we need from you:


  • 23 years' communications experience with portfolio
  • Bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate certificate in PR, corporate communications, or related field, combined with relevant working experience
  • Ability to write creatively and consistently for diverse audiences, materials and formats, adhering to True North/CP Style
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional proofreading skills
  • Previous experience with video storytelling and media and event planning
  • Proven ability to take initiative, provide leadership, and manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain adaptable to changing priorities, sometimes with mínimal lead time
  • Availability to work outside of regular business hours as needed to perform job functions at special events
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and Figma or other design software is considered an asset
