Position Summary


Reporting to the Manager, Centre for Faculty Development and Teaching Innovation (CFDTI), this position will support the implementation of The BringIT project which is part of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) college-wide program supporting the identification and communication of technology hardware and software needs for all incoming students.


The BringIT project contributes to capacity building for the development of inclusive and accessible technology-enabled, online, hybrid and HyFlex learning pedagogies and environments.


CFDTI guides the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at Centennial College by providing ongoing opportunities and resources for professional learning for faculty and academic leadership, fostering teaching innovation, showcasing successes in teaching and learning and advancing scholarly and evidence-informed educational practices.


The incumbent provides coordination of activities related to BringIT project implementation and specifically supports the Faculty Lead to strategically communicate, promote the vision for the project and build and maintain relationships with relevant groups involved and or impacted by the project.


This position requires the ability to be highly adaptable and effective in working independently and collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment, including remotely.

The incumbent is expected to be committed to practicing the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion and building and maintaining effective working relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops and coordinates all aspects of project implementation strategy
  • Liaises with participating faculty to ensure that project adheres to IT and relevant marketing requirements
  • Communicates timelines and coordinates followup efforts to facilitate project progress
  • Resolves complex problems in collaboration with Faculty Lead and Management team
  • Planning, development and implementation of outreach and promotion of BringIT Project
  • Creates and maintains content material to support change management
  • Leads the planning, development and implementation of outreach to promote project outcomes
  • Develops and manages tools to track progress, collaborate and store project documentation
  • Coordinates production, compilation, distribution and storing of project related materials and resources
  • Recommends approaches and concrete strategies to develop and update a resource repository
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of style guides and relevant resources that adhere to accessibility guidelines
  • Scheduling of project meetings and related activities and events

Qualifications/Experience

  • 2year diploma, or equivalent in Business Communications, Project Management, Public Relations, Information Technology Graphic Design.
  • 2 years of experience required
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in coordinating programs, services, and events that are accessible and inclusive, required.
  • Experience in project coordination, preferably in either a postsecondary institution or public sector organization.
  • Strong public speaking skills, including presenting information to a large group of faculty and other groups within the college, required.
  • Demonstrated ability in designing and evaluating communication and complex project implementation plans.


Proof of credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post secondary institutions and/or their foreign equivalents will be required at the time of job offer.
