Term/Status:
Temporary Full Time


Schedule/Hours:
Monday/Tuesday 9:00 - 16:30, Wednesday/Thursday 09:30 - 17:00, Sunday 09:00 - 16:30// 37.5 hours per week


Hourly Wage:
$20.00


Requirements/Education/Experience:


  • Experience in assisting individuals in all aspects of daily living (total personal care, feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with challenging behaviours
  • Cantonese speaker preferred
  • Knowledge of and ability to deal effectively with behaviours associated with mental health, an asset
  • Postsecondary education or training in a related field
  • Must be between ages of 1930 at intake time, not hold another full time (30 or more hours) summer job
  • Minimum one year direct experience with people with developmental disabilities
  • Training in behaviour management techniques
  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Demonstrated competency in English
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Must be Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold Refugee status
  • This position requires Union membership.
