What You Will Do:
- May be required to be oncall outside of normal working hours to deal with emergency situations
What Skills Do You Bring?:
- Communicate in a variety of mediums
- Counsel, advise, and coach in the relevant discipline
- Identify and minimize risk of Health and Safety issues
- Manage human resources
- Excellent management of time and ability to complete several tasks with mínimal guidance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the industry and / or sector
- Manage multiple projects and work packages
What Qualifications Do You Bring?:
- Completion of a degree/diploma in relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Architecture, Construction), combined with several years of directly related work experience in TTC construction; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in construction inspection, administration and documentation.
- A valid Province of Ontario Class G driver's license would be an asset. May be required use of own vehicle required for visits to construction sites that are not easily accessible by public transits.
- Ability to lead supervisory field staff in a construction environment within budget and schedule restraints.
- Require medium to heavy physical effort and ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, as well as agility, alertness, good hearing and eyesight.
- Must hold and maintain Power Cutter certification in order to set up work zones and perform/monitor power cuts to facilitate contractor's work at track level;
- Must hold and maintain Person-InCharge (PIC) and Work-AreaCoordinator (WAC) certification;
- Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.
