To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and safety-oriented Class 1 Driver.

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, our Drivers are responsible for safely operating truck and trailer combinations throughout the city and surrounding areas to pick up and deliver bins to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and drive tractortrailer, longcombination vehicle and straight body trucks to transport metals over long distance or urban/interurban routes
Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
Perform pretrip, en route and posttrip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals and brakes
Administer bills of lading and maintain log book
Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices
Complete other paperwork as required
Operate and perform in conformance with company processes and procedures
