What we seek:


OCHC is currently seeking a dedicated Human Resources
Student Assistant to join and provide support to the People and Culture team.

Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Total Rewards and HR Programs, the Human Resources
Student Assistant will support a wide range of Human Resources, Compensation and Benefits, Wellness, Disability Management, and Health and Safety activities and initiatives.


Human Resources Student Assistant with OCHC:_ _

Adapting internal systems to innovate and grow is a main strategic priority at our organization. As the Human Resources
Student Assistant,
you will be an essential part of our objective
by conducting research to assist in the development of new policies and procedures related to human resources, disability management and health and safety.**
As a Human Resources Student Assistant, some of the things you will do include:
  • Assist with the administrative tasks related to Human Resources such as filing and tracking of initiatives and programs.
  • Support the coordination of various employee events, training, workshops, and seminars.
  • Provide general support to the Human Resources team.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process by scheduling interviews, assisting in the interview creation, and preparing interview packages.

What you bring:


Education & Experience:


  • Completed a minimum of two (2) years of a Commerce or Business undergraduate degree with a focus in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices and theories.
  • Excellent research, analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in an office environment is an asset.

Skills and abilities:


  • Ability to work well independently and to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Oral fluency, reading and writing abilities in English are essential.
  • Oral, reading and written fluency in French is an asset.

Other requirements:


  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must be between 1530 years of age.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check

Work conditions:

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) hybrid position with on-site attendance as required.
