What you will do:
You will help build the next generation of advertising and marketing star creatives.
You will engage with the rapidly evolving requirements of the advertising industry and translate them into curriculum and teaching practices that unlock the career potential of our students.
You will inspire, challenge, and mentor talented young people, developing them into confident, capable creative professionals.You will work in a supportive and collegial environment to help build, maintain, and enhance a highly successful professional degree program.
You will teach, develop curriculum, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, assess student progress and achievement; work collaboratively with colleagues, participate in committees and related associations.
On the creative side you should be able to oversee our portfolio classes, working with students on award show competition briefs and helping them curate their bodies of work.
You should be equally comfortable teaching advertising strategy and integrated marketing communications.Teaching can be assigned at both the North and Lakeshore campuses and may include teaching at the International Graduate School (Toronto).
You will also support student advising, student recruitment, graduate placement, assist with the promotion and marketing of programs and develop and maintain strong industry ties.
What you bring to the role
Education
Experience and Skills
- You should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in senior creative roles in advertising/marcomm agencies or inhouse departments (e.g., senior creative, ACD, CD, ECD).
- You have practical experience in one or more of the following areas: art direction, advertising strategy, integrated communications, graphic design, photography, branding and brand communications.
- You have a track record of creating and directing marketing campaigns for major clients across the full gamut of traditional media and digital/social platforms
- You are an inspiring and creative team leader, and you have a solid network of industry contacts
- You demonstrate the ability to teach a number of courses offered by the college; and you have specialized skills and experience in the following areas: all aspects of modern advert
