We currently have a
Temporary Casual (Until approx. March 2024) opportunity for a
Childcare Education Assistant in the
Sunnybrook Crèche Department
at our
Bayview Campus.


Hours of Work:
Weekdays only, Days, 8 hours, as per schedule. On Call Required.


Sunnybrook Childcare Centre is a non-profit Centre that provides care for children, ages 3 months to 5 years of age.

We are looking for an individual who will be a great part of our dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support the implementation of highquality early years learning programs based on the How Does Learning Happen
  • Provide a warm, nurturing and caring environment for children to support their self esteem
  • Ability to manage children's behavior through positive reinforcement
  • Maintain an organized, welcoming, safe, and educational environment
  • Support the teachers in the room with daily routines
  • Communicate with staff and parents

Qualifications:


  • Experience working in a child care environment as an Assistant or Educator
  • Up to date knowledge in CCEYA, How Does Learning Happen, and AQI
  • Strong planning, time management, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Possess solid knowledge in child development
  • Current training in First Aid and CPR
  • Clear and Current Vulnerable Sector Check
