Position Summary:


Reporting directly to the EIC Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the planning and day-to-day management and coordination of all construction projects for the EIC subsidiary companies.

They will travel based on project requirements and will support the Project Manager in all other required functions.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Supporting and actioning daytoday management and coordination of assigned projects
  • Coordinating and tracking the status of all changes and updating project schedules
  • Prepare and deliver project status updates and provide summaries
  • Schedule and manage tasks/projects done by external contractors as applicable
  • Reviewing shop drawings, reading plans/drawings, and creation of budgets for all scopes of work
  • Report on any concerns regarding timelines or budgets with recommended course of action
  • Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analysis within the department
  • Ensure compliance with all internal safety standards
  • Will act as liaison between engineers and airport representatives as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:


  • 25 years project management experience required
  • Engineering or architecture experience considered an asset
  • Experience with AutoCAD software required
  • Working knowledge of facilities and maintenance equipment, drawings, specifications, building material and building code standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while planning and managing numerous project schedules
  • Travel is a requirement of this position
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualification
  • Inuktitut language considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries

Salary:
$37,399.33-$77,248.55 per year
