SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Shape and Deliver Value-Added propositions to customers and key accounts.
- Provide technical expertise during customer presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and testing.
- Have a strong knowledge of building electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Manufacture and design new panels for fuel management systems
- Work closely with software and hardware development team providing input for improvement.
- Providing technical expertise on existing products.
- Researching outsourcing opportunities for hardware when necessary.
- Liaison with suppliers and customers as required.
- Manage market research; analyses and develop product design strategies based on findings.
- Participate in all required meetings providing input and recommendations.
- Brainstorm as part of a team or developing design concepts using CAD (computeraided design), and other traditional design tools.
- Take part in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Research materials, processes, and market requirements.
- Make samples or working models by hand or using computerized prototyping equipment.
- Test the design concept by computerized modelling or physical handson testing of models.
- Assist with product testing, deployment plans, and installation crew management.
- Employ problemsolving strategies and find solutions to product design issues.
- Attend meetings and liaise with engineers and other departments, including marketing, to discuss and negotiate appropriate production processes, costs, and commercial issues.
- Travel to clients' production facilities and evaluating the feasibility of production as required.
- Make presentations to senior design management or clients, either when bidding for a contract or to present design proposals.
- Ensure the efficiency, attractiveness, ease of use, and costeffectiveness of the product.
- Other related duties as required or assigned.
OTHER KEY SKILLS

- Understanding of basic computer networking and accessing devices through TCP/IP
- Basic/introductory understanding of python
- Understanding of electrical controls and circuitry
- Experience in interpreting and designing to safety and regulatory standards.
- Professional written, verbal and presentation communication skills

NCE
- Experience in working with the major fuel providers an asset.
- 2+ years in experience in Research and Development, Product Design or Product Management preferred.
EDUCATION
- Electrical Journeyperson preferred.
