Job Overview:


Under the general supervision of the Machine Operator, Area Leader, Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager; the General Production Worker will be responsible to follow directions for various plant tasks to ensure good quality products are efficiently manufactured at all times.


Plant Location:

Shifts:Day shift: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for performing various general plant tasks; packaging, feeding product to the line and/or packaging, making boxes, etc that help to ensure good quality product is produced at all times.
  • Responsible for performing any task that will be associated with the assembly or packaging of the product.
  • Responsible to perform the job responsibilities of a backup Machine Operator for coverage purpose from time to time.
  • Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety policy at all times
  • Responsible for practicing and adhering to Shah Trading Company policies and best practices.
  • Responsible for other reasonable duties as assigned by the Area Leader/Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.

Qualifications:


  • Completion of high school education or equivalent
  • 13 years of manufacturing experience an asset; asset to have worked in food processing industry
  • Ability to speak, read, write and basic comprehension of English
  • Good hand and manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Quick learner
  • Some technical and/or basic troubleshooting skills
  • Coordination and multitask skills
  • Ability to follow directions
  • High energy individual
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg
  • Not allergic to food & spices
