We are looking to add a Web Designer to join our team in the Regina office Are you a creative, innovative, detail-oriented individual with a passion for crafting visually stunning websites? Then we have the perfect job for you As a Web Designer reporting to the Business Support Manager - Web Design, your responsibilities include building and designing new creative websites, editing various types of existing sites, enhancing SEO, and assisting the development of online search marketing campaigns.
Typical Duties (Not all Inclusive)
- Develop innovative WordPress websites that align seamlessly with clients' visual brand identity, ensuring a precise and creative representation of their unique branding elements.
- Creative with a customerdriven approach to creating visual marketing and advertising solutions to solve a business challenge.
- Utilize Adobe Suite products such as Photoshop and Illustrator to create professional creative graphics.
- Translate strategic goals and ideas into visual concepts.
- Provide creative and functional design solutions in a timely manner.
- Elevate the SEO efficacy of the website through meticulous adjustments to textual content, imagery, and site structure.
- Conduct a comprehensive diagnostic analysis to identify and rectify any issues that may be detrimentally impacting the SEO value of the site.
- Assist in the analysis and development of changes to existing Directwest products, platforms and services.
- Assist in the analysis, product tracking, platform usage, consumer and advertiser behavior.
- Work with colleagues to ensure internal processes support a positive customer experience.
- Learn and remain versed in Directwest's new and existing products, services and processes.
- Responsible for developing, implementing and supporting new products, platforms and services.
- Strong communicator with both internal and external customers, who thinks creatively, is detailoriented and able to meet deadlines.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses team building, strong problemsolving and organizational skills.
- Work closely with Media Advisors to identify and validate search marketing and digital service opportunities.
- Assist internal teams in effective search strategies including KPIs.
- Provide support to internal teams on ongoing analysis and optimization of paid search and display campaigns.
- Assist internal teams with content creation for ad copy, creative, keywords, etc.
- Create performance reporting with detailed analysis and recommendations.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma in an accredited Web Design, Graphic Design or Business program and/or a minimum 35 years' experience in website design/development and/or graphic design;
- Demonstrates proficient visual design skills coupled with a robust capacity for creativity.
- Well versed in the latest website design methods, practices, and technologies such as but not limited to HTML, CSS, Java Script, PHP.
- Strong understanding of the Wordpress CMS is an asset.
- Fluent with Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. UI/UX design experience would be an asset.
- Accurately manage multiple details and deadlines.
- Advanced website analytics experience is an asset.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment, possesses team building, strong problemsolving and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of SEM best practices.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the business acumen to ensure alignment with customer goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in written and verbal English.
- A valid Saskatchewan driver's license.
