What You Will Do:
- Complete posting, balancing and exception activities for payments by all methods received into our systems.
- Processing returned payment transactions against customer accounts, including daily balancing of returned payments bank account.
- Investigating and correcting payments that were misapplied.
- Process refund and payment transfer requests on behalf of our customers.
Who You Are:
You will have the following education and experience:
- Minimum high school diploma with 3 years' experience in a financial environment/bookkeeping/accounting OR post-secondary diploma in a financial area with limited experience. An equivalent combination of education, certification, work experience will be considered.
- Minimum basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills, as this role requires communication with internal and external business partners.
- Strong attention to detail, as accuracy is very important and daily backup for all activity is key for auditing.
- Strong organization skills, as work volumes for tasks vary throughout the month.
Preferred:
- Open to new graduates from financial program with limited experience, if they demonstrate the other required attributes and knowledge.
