SUMMARY


Reporting to the Weekend Night Shift Supervisor, as the Deburr Technician, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the schedule and quality requirements by performing the tasks of deburring, filing, polishing and cleaning of before & after heat treat landing gear components to drawing.


Work Shift - Weekend Nights Shift (Friday - Sunday, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Perform deburring, filing, polishing and cleaning of landing gear components as specified
  • Support quality initiative by performing operator selfverification (OSV)
  • Operate overhead cranes to move large parts
  • Participate actively in LEAN and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Support rework & surface finishing parts as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Grade 12 diploma and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to exact drawing specifications (dimensional & finish)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and follow instructions from production order cards and manufacturing process sheets
  • Demonstrated ability to read micrometers / verniers; prior deburr experience is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to use Matrix and read & interpret latest MPS/APS (Manufacturing Process Sheet)
  • Strong team player with strong verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using overhead cranes would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience deburring titanium is considered an asset.
