Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our construction and development company. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.
Your expertise will contribute to the financial success and growth of the company, ensuring accurate financial information, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial management practices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- month and end-year process
- cash receipts o general ledger
- payroll
- treasury, budgeting
- cash forecasting
- revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- capital assets reconciliations.
- Oversee check payment process.
- debt activity
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Provide recommendations.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, laws, and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- CPA or equivalent designation
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:
- Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred)
