The Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation is responsible for British Columbia's electricity, alternative energy, mining and petroleum resource sectors, and supporting work to meet BC's greenhouse gas reduction targets.


To conduct advanced spatial data analysis in support of program and management decision making on resource planning, land use planning, socio-economic analyses, treaty negotiating, revenue forecasting or other program issues.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in geography, natural resource management or related field and 2 years of related experience
    ; OR,:
  • Technical school diploma in GIS, geomatics (cartography or survey science) or natural resource management and 4 years of related experience
    ; OR,:
  • Grade 12 diploma supplemented by related courses and 5 years of related experience
    ; OR,:
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may also be considered.
  • Experience delivering spatial analysis projects in support of client's business needs.
  • Recent (within the last 3 years) experience using ARC GIS suite of products.
