The Opportunity:


We are recruiting a
MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN (Eating Disorders Service)**-
_This is a __regular full-time role (35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) based at 1 Blue Springs Dr.

Waterloo._**Team oriented and collaborative, you will provide assessment and treatment of eating disorders for children/adolescents and their caregivers.

This will include conducting comprehensive assessments within an interdisciplinary team model and providing Family Based Treatment or other evidence-based treatments for eating disorders.

This position reports to the Manager, DBT & Eating Disorders Services.


Qualifications:

  • Masters level degree in social work, psychology, occupational therapy or relevant health or social science field
  • Registration with relevant college/registering body
  • 3 to 5 years' experience within the health services sector with indepth knowledge of complex clinical issues.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a clinical capacity with individuals who have eating disorders (preferably within an Eating Disorders Program)
  • Knowledge and training of Family Based Treatment (FBT) or willingness to learn
  • Experience in providing both individual and group therapy
  • Experience managing high risk and crisis situations.
  • Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to social and cultural diversity
  • Highly developed organizational, communication and problem solving skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a selfdirected work team
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and various database software
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation as travel is required

CLASSIFICATION AND RATE OF PAY:
Level 6 (OPSEU) - $34.28 to $41.78 per hour
