RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Band kits to skids or to machines, ensuring that the correct machine and kits are loaded
  • Join headers for export and band kits to the headers as required
  • Perform simple assemblies and/or bundle, band, or crate parts
  • Fill out production tags and count sheets in an accurate manner
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily department requirements striving for continuous improvement
  • Notify supervision of any damage to equipment or tooling
  • Maintain a clean work area and inform area supervision of any unsafe conditions
  • Operate air tools (sanders, buffers, chipping tools, etc.)
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job or as assigned by supervision
  • Maintain a clean work area using 5S methodology
  • Work cooperatively with others to ensure optimum efficiency of operations
  • Know and understand the WHMIS labeling system
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Working Conditions: Extreme temperatures (heat/cold), High noise levels Fumes, vapors, and gases

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience working with production equipment or heavy machinery
  • Knowledge and familiarity with basic handheld and air tools
  • Ability to comprehend verbal communication as well as written documentation
  • Strong awareness of safety requirements
  • Perform repetitive tasks following a prescribed routine
  • Work cooperatively with others to ensure optimum efficiency of operations
  • Able to do shift work (rotating shifts)
  • Maintain a clean work area and inform area supervision of any unsafe conditions
  • Know and understand WHMIS labeling system

Hourly Rate:
$21.52

Salary:
$21.52 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
