***: The successful applicant to a Priority TTOC position will be awarded a one-year temporary contract to work 5 days per week as a TTOC filling dispatch requests created by absent teachers at all levels. This contract position provides access to a monthly salary, health benefits, sick bank, paid leaves and a guarantee of full-time work.

When needed, a Priority TTOC will be assigned to teacher absences/vacancies until further notice (UFN). For medical UFNs, the expectation is that a priority TTOC stays until the teacher returns to work.

For UFNs created by a vacant position, the Priority TTOC stays until a teacher has been hired for that position through the job posting process.

At the end of the UFN, the TTOC returns to filling daily dispatches 5 days/week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Completed University Degree Program
Teacher education program and practicum
Eligible for B.C. Certification
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum report

Classroom Management: Create and maintain an optimal learning environment for each student while managing student behavior and classroom dynamics.
Facilitation & Engagement: Ability to capture and maintain students' interest, effort, participation and enthusiasm for both the content and the process of learning
Assessment & Coaching: Utilize balanced assessment and feedback to improve student learning including the use of formative and summative assessment strategies.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Collaborate with others to achieve group goals and objectives
Caring & Inclusiveness: Create and maintain an environment that is caring, inclusive and supportive of all students
Flexibility & Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in our ability to adjust and adapt to changing circumstances
