Position Highlights

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA) Team at ICBC is looking to grow ICBC launched its Diversity, Equity &
Inclusion Strategic Action Plan in January 2023. A key component of the plan is to create a curriculum to build an inclusive

culture at ICBC. With a clear focus on conscious inclusion, ICBC is committed to a workforce that is reflective of the diversity of

the Province that it serves and where each person is supported to do their best work.


In this role, a typical day might involve:

  • Analyzing information from our employee engagement survey to gain a deeper understanding of education needs across a
division.

  • Developing training curriculum to meet the needs of frontline staff who are interacting with customers with disabilities.
  • Contributing to the development of diversity, equity and inclusion competencies for staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Consulting with a manager to design a program to respond to the needs of their employees.
  • Creating the educational scaffolding, tools and resources necessary for people leaders to create inclusive environments for
their teams.

  • Attending community of practice meetings where you will spend time sharing with others in similar roles.
  • Collaborating with members of the organizational learning team to prep content for delivery.
  • Delivering workshops either inperson or online.
  • Evaluating existing programming to see how it can be improved.
  • Attending conferences, workshops and webinars to keep current with the latest developments in the field.

  • A great communicator you build relationships easily, inspire confidence in people, and share your expertise in a
straightforward way.

  • A skilled facilitator leading large or small group discussions comes naturally to you.

Position Requirements


You have:

  • 3 or more years of experience creating curriculum on diversity, equity, inclusion, antiracism, antioppression or social justice.
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline; or a combination of both
perfectly aligned with those listed).


Bonus points if you have:


  • A graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A specialized diploma in studies related to equity, diversity, inclusion, reconciliation, social justice or conflict engagement.
