Job Requirements:


  • Ability to assist in repairing and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building or equipment.
  • Completes other labour tasks such as painting, carpentry and/or equipment assembly when/as required.
  • Demonstrates a high level of mechanical aptitude and skill when completing repairs.
  • Skilled in the use of various hand and power tools. Monitors and maintains spare parts inventory.
  • Trouble shooting abilities for work with a wide variety of equipment.
  • Perform facility inspections (various locations) to identify and resolve issues, including various repairs.
  • Develop/maintain relationships with contractors, service providers and inspectors.
  • Timely delivery and/or pickup of parts to/from customers/subcontractors within GTA and Orillia
  • Maintains pre/post trip reports, vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Receives materials, parts, and consumables in accordance with defined procedures and legislation.
  • Accurate completion of related paperwork, documentation, and records.
  • Must be quality oriented with a strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain positive working relationship when interacting with other plant personnel.
  • Adhere to and maintain safe work practices, including WHMIS 2015 requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This role requires TDG Certification, a clear driving record (Driver Abstract required) and be over 25-years of age due to insurance requirements

Salary:

$21.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Experience:


  • Facilities maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
  • Shipping & receiving: 2 years (preferred)
Rotating Shifts: 2 years (preferred)

  • Canadian Work Permit, Residency, or Citizenship (required)
