About the Sales Manager role

Float is looking for an outstanding sales leader who has built and led high performing AE sales teams to reach and exceed revenue targets.

This Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving the success of our B2B SMB and Mid-Market Sales teams to close new Float customers, drive faster product adoption, and generate new opportunities.


As the Sales Manager at Float:

  • You'll manage and coach a remote team of Account Executives across Canada
  • Design and implement a strategic Sales plan that expands Float's customer base and solidifies a strong presence across multiple industry verticals
  • Manage recruiting, goal setting, coaching and performance monitoring of SMB and Mid Market Account Executives
  • Work with key stakeholders across the business to ensure the company is positioned to execute on its strategy in the near
- and long-term

  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Conduct adhoc qualitative and quantitative analyses for strategic planning, investing and integration efforts

What your week-to-week looks like:


  • Lead team meetings and deliver training and enablement that will improve Sales effectiveness
  • Conduct 1:1s with your team to support each individual's success
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to deliver projects related to Marketing, Product, and more
  • Participate in Sales calls with target customers to assist in closing new business and provide coaching to the team
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on strategic initiatives and planning

Requirements:


You'll be great in this role if:


  • You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 8+ years of tech sales experience and at least 2 years of people management experience, ideally in a high-growth start up environment and experience with sales cycles with customers up to 500 employees

You're a coach. You lead with empathy and honesty. You have previous experience leading highly successful and driven sales teams, with proven success of reaching and exceeding revenue targets

  • You're resultsdriven. You set goals, and have a reputation for achieving them, and guiding your teams to do the same

You have managerial courage. You don't shy away from difficult conversations, and are comfortable with both providing and receiving candid feedback.

You believe the customer comes first. You'll advocate endlessly for our customers, and have a natural curiosity to understand their needs.

You're a clear communicator. You demonstrated the ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization


This role won't be a fit if:

  • You don't love coaching and helping your team grow
  • You aren't comfortable with radical candor
  • You don't love working asynchronously
  • You aren't super motivated to help Float build the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada
