Reporting to the VP of Finance the Manager, Financial Reporting will be a leader on the corporate finance team. They will be responsible for building corporate accounting standards to support the growth of the business.

This individual will have line of sight on all corporate development concerns and will be a major contributor to the success of the company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthend closing process, including journal entries, intercompany, balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, and cost allocations.
  • Manage the corporate consolidation process for multiple legal entities
  • Preparation and support of the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Manage the audit process during the interim and yearend audits to ensured timely completion
  • Prepare financial package content for the monthly executive leadership reviews and quarterly board meetings
  • Partner with the various business leaders to drive accountability for various sections of the budget.
  • Monthly lease reporting under IFRS 1
  • Assist in determining and documenting accounting treatment of new and/or unusual transactions and/or implement new accounting policies.
  • Impairment assessment of goodwill for the business using the market approach.
  • Loan reporting to the company's lenders to safeguard finance relationship.
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • University degree in Business/Accounting with a major in Finance or Accounting or similar
  • CPA designation with a minimum 5 years of relevant work experience post designation
  • Experience with IFRS reporting standards and corporate consolidations
  • QuickBooks online experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to work in an environment with deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data to provide meaningful insight into financials.
  • Selfstarter, ability to work autonomously and motivated for continuing improvement.
  • Established commitment to high professional ethical standards
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to manage ambiguity
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision
  • Proven ability to organize, plan and manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
