$40,800.00 to $48,760.00 Per Annum

Part-time, Temporary 1-Year Term

Director of Health


Brief Overview:


Under the direction of the Director of Health and Mental Health and Addictions Team Lead, the Mental Health and Addictions Program Finance assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting related functions and maintaining MN-S Mental Health and Addictions program financial records.

The Mental Health and Addictions Program Finance Assistant is accountable for data entry, reviewing and processing invoices, filing financial records and being a liaison between the program and clinicians regarding overdue accounts or billing inquiries.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Process invoices and receipts from clinicians/ counselors for payment.
  • Prepare payments for reimbursement to clients for prepaid sessions.
  • Provide data entry and maintain financial records of accounts receivable and expenses.
  • Assist with preparation of budget monitoring and reporting.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of the MN-S financial business and client information records.
  • Ensures proper filing and record keeping of the Mental Health and Addictions program.
  • Any additional duties/responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Diploma in Accounting/Finance or business administration
  • 23 years' experience in Accounting/Finance/bookkeeping or equivalent.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Proven experience in a previous similar role.
  • Knowledge of the structure and policies of federal, provincial and MN-S.
  • Accounting and financial management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 36
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills.
  • Diligent with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
  • Knowledge of Métis culture.

Additional Requirements:


  • Valid Saskatchewan driver's license and access reliable transportation
  • Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector
