We are currently hiring for the position of:

MANAGER, INDUSTRY SALES


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Industry Sales & Services, the Manager, Industry Services is accountable for strengthening TIFF's growing festival Industry audience through pass sales and promotion.

They will deliver a high level of customer service and develop communication strategies for professionals while working closely with internal teams to ensure all audience facing systems meet the needs of TIFF's clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage all levels of Industry accreditation process from inception to completion for the festival

  • Support revenue flows of industry pass sales to meet departmental revenue targets and generate weekly reports on progress.
  • Maintain and improve database of over 40,000 professionals
  • Develop outreach strategies and manage industry initiatives that grow pass sales, attendance numbers and overall engagement with both diverse professionals as well as the identified industry community groups.
  • Manage cross departmental complimentary pass requests to fulfil partner, funder, and pass exchange requirements.
  • Manage the implementation of the Industry teams direct marketing e communications following organizational standards and sign off processes
  • Support the development and implementation of B2B tools and resources for industry to navigate the festival
  • Manage the industry affiliates budget, protocol ticketing and VIP accreditation including implementation of invitations, outreach and customer relations to key stakeholder group.
  • Coordinate the seasonal hiring, onboarding, training and coaching of a globally oriented services team, developing portfolios and in depth training materials to ensuring both team and individual goals are achieved
  • Act as accreditation teams primary point of escalation for all accreditation customer inquiries.
  • Liaise with onsite Industry box office and Press & Industry coordinators to respond to in person customer service inquiries related to passes.
  • Ensure pass benefits are delivered as promoted
  • Design, distribute and analyze customer satisfaction surveys
  • Write a detailed post mortem

JOB GRADE & SALARY:

Job Grade 3
-$26-28 per hour commensurate with experience.

May 1- October 4, 2024


WORK LOCATION:

Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5


  • Weekly in office requirements:
  • Minimum 2 days (November to May)
  • Minimum 3 days (June to October)
  • Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in arts management, administration or commerce considered an asset

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with staff and delegating responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Canadian and International Industries with ability to demonstrate
  • Working knowledge of domestic and international distribution, sales activities, national promotional agency networks, funding practices, co productions and international film festivals and markets
  • Exceptional business writing skills with attention to detail, including but not limited e marketing, social media messaging and proposals.
  • Demonstrative ability to listen to client feedback and adapt strategies for communication accordingly.
  • Ability to speak foreign language considered an asset
  • Ability to think critically and anticipate issues or opportunities and proactively propose solutions to address them.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make quick but informed decisions
  • Strong accounting and financial acumen
  • Ability to deliver feedback and service with a high level of tact and diplomacy when working with clients.
  • Demonstrative accounting and negotiation experience required
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
