UCA is looking for a full time
Technical Coordinator position. This is an on-site position in our Scarborough location.


WHAT'S THE JOB ABOUT?


Reporting to the Director, UC Access, the Technical Coordinator position is responsible for data management and provide data support for strategy adjustment.

Further, the Technical Coordinator is also responsible in assisting and coordinating with the UCA team to ensure the projects complete on a timely manner.

Some of the work you will do, but not limited to:

  • Drafting (Electrical elevation drawings, wiring diagrams). MS Visio/Auto CAD
  • Collaborate with the team and site personnel, and communicate with technicians related to the projects
  • Designing electrical systems for Auto Door Operators and/or Access Control
  • Assisting on reviewing all specifications, drawings, etc. to ensure technical and code requirements for material, equipment and field activities are met
  • Assisting on reviewing architectural/electrical floor plans, elevation drawings and shop drawings
  • Collecting and managing gathered data throughout the progression of projects and providing them as needed
  • Assisting the Field Coordinators on all projects related aspects
  • Travel to job sites when required
  • Other duties as assigned

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU WHO HAS:

  • Certificate or Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or civil engineering
years of experience working in the electronic technical department

  • Electrically inclined knowledgeable in electronics (Low Voltage 12/24VDC)
  • Able to read and interpret diagrams and electrical specifications
  • Familiar with relays and wiring integrations
  • Working knowledge in relays, access control systems and automatic door operator is an asset
  • Understanding Ontario Building Code is an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office, especially in excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
