Reporting to the Supervisor, Facilities and Property, this position performs all aspects of work related to the day-to-day operations, including winter and summer maintenance of municipal buildings and facilities under the jurisdiction of the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department.

How you contribute to our organization:

Maintain the multi-plex spaces and other Town owned facilities through minor repairs, painting, snow removal at entrances, opening and closing of facilities, disinfecting and general cleaning.
Participate in Arena Ice Making and Maintenance of Ice Surfaces.
Perform pool operations duties including opening and winterization, chemical balancing, cleaning and maintains records according to health legislation.
Oversee facilities when rented providing service to the public who have rented it.
Perform maintenance checks on any mobile equipment. Keep all equipment clean and in good working order.

What you bring to the team:

Requires Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Requires ORFA Basic Refrigeration or equivalent.
Requires ORFA Certified Pool Operator or equivalent.
Requires a G Class driver's licence, and ability to provide a satisfactory driver's abstract.
Requires Standard First Aid with CPR-C.
Requires at least 2 years' experience in a similar position.

Wage:
$ $33.49, plus 4% vacation pay and optional enrolment in OMERS pension plan

Hours:
up to 40 hours per week - Facility operations are 5:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., 7 days a week - shifts will vary

Location:
Primarily New Tecumseth Recreation Centre (NTRC) and Alliston Memorial Arena (AMA)

Dates: 6 months - April/May - October/November 2024
