Summary:


  • Collecting Physician encounters and Pre-Admits from specified locations
  • Enter data in INFOR-HRCM system in a timely manner, with a high level of accuracy and crossreferencing entry to source data.
  • Accurately applies appropriate diagnostic codes based on information provided
  • Responsible for processing physician billings for assigned clinics
  • Perform monthly electronic billings
  • Electronic and manual payments submissions between INFOR-HRCM and Ministry of Health
  • Prepare monthly billing summary information
  • Monitor encounter billings received by physician, in relation to schedule worked and adjust as required
  • Perform billing follow up as required
  • Prepare physician payment requisition
  • Research medical documentation for billing purposes
  • Correct OHIP professional fees rejections for a specific clinic on a timely basis
  • Prepare and retain copies of physician billing reports
  • Examine, correct & edit missing reading & referring physicians by contacting depts., referencing SOB(schedule of benefits) & listing of physician billing errors
  • Follow up on physician, management an other concerned parties inquiries
  • Create Client Billing Invoices from various depts., create Reports for outstanding payments, Answer vendor inquiries
  • Submitting reports and bills to WSIB, HC validation
  • Act as an advisor and liaison to physicians relaying information on MOH rejected claims and reasoning for incompatible codes

Qualifications:


  • Post secondary education in Accounting preferred
  • Mandatory 3 years prior Healthcare experience
  • Knowledgeable on OHIP billing codes and diagnostic error codes
  • Be proficient in meeting regular deadlines
  • Proficiency in interpretation of MOH Schedule of Benefits codes and Preamble
  • Excellent data entry, keyboard and excel skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize duties
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Proficient in MSWord, Excel, Outlook, Internet required
  • Previous OHIP/Accounts Receivable experience required
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Knowledge of Privacy Act required
  • Good attendance record required
