    Position: Technology Architect Level 3

    Client: Federal client

    Location: Ottawa NCR

    Work arrangement: Onsite *mandatory for duration of contract

    Type of hire: Contract

    Duration: 4 year contract (multiple extensions)

    Language: English

    Security requirement: Secret level 2 (Government of Canada)

    Background:

    Our Federal Government client requires the contractual services of technology Architect Level 3 to ensure the overall maintenance, life cycling, consistency, and alignment of their information systems network.

    This is a multi year contract opportunity (up to 4 years) that requires the contractor to work onsite in the NCR.

    Qualifications:

    Must hold a valid Secret level 2 security clearance, issued by the Government of Canada

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in performing a minimum 80% of the Tasks listed below

    Tasks:

    • Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements
    • Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution;
    • Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;
    • Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions;
    • Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry for technology;
    • Provide information, direction and support for emerging technologies;
    • Perform impact analysis of technology changes;
    • Provide support to applications and/or technical support teams in the proper of existing infrastructure; and
    • Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements
