Your role will involve:
- Overseeing the daytoday operations, processes, and performance management of Adult Day Programs (ADP,) Healthier Living Centre (HLC), community programs including Transportation, Food Services (MOW), the Home at Last Program (HAL) and other community initiatives being managed by Lumacare.
- Leading, managing, and monitoring a team of program supervisors.
- Strategizing, developing, and implementing approved, program initiatives and processes in alignment with the agency's strategic direction to advance quality, best practices, and innovation.
- Managing program targets and funder obligations to ensure achievement, making critical decisions and adjustments as necessary throughout the year to accomplish annual targets.
- Maintaining statistical data, monitoring program activity levels, efficiency, budget, trends, and impacts.
- Supporting best practices as well as the delivery of safe, effective, efficient, and quality client care services.
- Representing the agency at external/internal committees, planning tables, and at various networking initiatives.
- Providing after hours oncall support as required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare related field such as Recreation, Social Work, Public Health, Health Sciences, Gerontology or Occupational Therapy with 35 years of related management experience, in community care or a healthcare equivalent or 7 years' progressive management experience in the field.
- Leadership/Management certificates is an asset.
- Experience working with the frail and elderly population and knowledge of community resources including various funding sources.
- Strong project management with experience in process improvements.
- Excellent budgeting and financial management skills.
- Excellent human resource management skills including recruitment and retention of staff.
- Demonstrated ability to support team building.
- Effective problemsolving skills, ability to deal effectively with complex and ambiguous situations.
- Have proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally with a wide range of stakeholders and partnering organizations.
- Possess critical thinking skills, sound decision making and a collaborative approach.
- Have excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Knowledge of CIMS and the RAI-CHA is an asset.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle is required.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police check (completed within last 12 months) and a current First Aid / CPR Certificate is required.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and you must provide Lumacare with proof of vaccination prior to employment.
