GSOC Manager - Ottawa Canada

Job Description, Qualifications and Experience

Summary

The GSOC Manager must be detail oriented, have strong skills in communication, writing, critical thinking, and display a "team-first" mentality.

Daily responsibilities will focus on managing day-to-day GSOC operations, to include performing quality checks, running incidents, scheduling, taking part in gap analysis, work on projects and program buildout as needed, and recording and presenting operational data.

Essential Functions*- Manage team scheduling

  • Manage operations during and after hours, as needed
  • Assist with policy and procedure drafting
  • Perform gap analysis on behalf of the team
  • Communicate concerns and needs to management
  • Manage and present highlevel data regarding operations
  • Perform team quality checks
  • Train and develop newly hired analysts
Essential Functions

  • Act as the main point of contact and take a proactive role in communicating between Crisis24 and client key personnel
  • Write security incident investigation reports to provide situational awareness and communicate risks to management
  • Collect, evaluate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood
  • Assist in planning and execution of risk assessment projects
  • Contribute to procedures and processes to standardize and enhance risk management
  • Working with a company's various departments to assist management in understanding and implementing procedures and policies
  • Provide emergency and nonemergency security system monitoring, event dispatch, and emergency notification services
  • Process and maintain a wide variety of files, logs, reports, and forms
  • Prepare written reports of incidents in the proper format and with correct grammar and spelling
  • Analyse information using multiple external sources to identify and prevent potential threats or risks affecting company assets
  • Support of adhoc client issues and escalations

Required and Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Have an interest or direct experience in the following: Executive Protection, Operations, Critical Incident Management or Corporate Security.
  • Must be wellversed in current technologies and opensource search methodologies.
  • Must be a competent user of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
  • Use multiple systems simultaneously whilst working at a fast pace
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with excellent
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanour during stressful situations.
  • Must be able to quickly adapt and excel in dynamic situations.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Successful client management experience
  • A demonstrated history of effective conflict resolution skills
  • Maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public occasionally under conditions of
  • Ability to attend training events that fall outside normal work hours
