Description

Responsibilities:


  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the project scope, execution plans and project specifications, including all plan changes
  • Assist Project Manager with the development, maintenance and communication of project schedule
  • Under direction of the Project Manager, create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Oversee project procurement management
  • Work with Project Supervisors to determine resource requirements for projects
  • Issue and maintain subcontracts and purchase orders including review of all vendor invoices for accuracy
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with subcontractors and clients
  • Manage Request for Information (RFI), shop drawing and change order process, incl. pricing, negotiating, processing and assessing cost and schedule impact
  • Monitor project progress and relay information regarding cost forecast and schedule to Project Manager
  • Compile and track quantities and costs throughout the project
  • Reconcile time and materials work and request change orders as required.
  • Assist in creating progress invoices for clients and resolving quantity discrepancies that may arise
  • Involved in all facets of project closeout, including archiving documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies and warranty work

Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  • Civil Engineer Technologist Diploma or related (2+ year) considered an asset
  • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with Heavy Bid Estimating Software is a plus
  • 3+ Years of Project Administration / Coordination Experience
  • Ability to interpret contracts, construction drawings and reports
  • Solid Organizational and Teamwork Skills
