Description

The Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Performance, and works closely with the Senior Case Costing Analyst on a day-to-day basis as well as with Consultants, who are the leading points of contact for the clinical programs and other departments.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Performs the routine loading, data quality fixes and publishing of data into the case costing system.
  • Supports inyear data quality audits and reconciliations of utilization and clinical data.
  • Supports Sinai Health's annual OCC Submission, including performing audits, OCDM reconciliations and MOH justifications for variances and ensures submission is made on time.
  • Ensures high level of data quality is maintained and all case costing data is in alignment with established MIS, OHRS & OCC standards.
  • Ensures there is comprehensive technical documentation related to complete efforts required for a successful annual case costing submission.
  • Possesses a continuous process improvement mindset with the ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement of case costing and articulate and execute projects as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Health Informatics, Accounting, Computer Science, Statistics or a related discipline from an accredited educational institution.
  • Some amount of direct experienced in the preparation, use and submission of case costing data preferred.
  • Beginner knowledge of hospital operational and clinical data concepts and methodologies, including the Discharge Abstract Database (DAD), National Ambulatory Care Reporting System (NACRS).
  • Beginner knowledge of the use of SAS and Crystal Reports for accessing and analyzing databases
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to establish and build effective working relationships, functioning both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing workload demands.
