    To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for an Occupational Therapist to support our Rehabilitation Department at our Mount Sinai Hospital . The caseload for this role will primarily support patients in: General Internal Medicine and Surgery but could also include other inpatient areas.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Clinical Duties

  • Assessment, planning and therapeutic intervention for an assigned patient caseload according to Occupational Therapy scope of practice
  • Appropriate documentation of Occupational Therapy activities
  • Record workload measurement
  • Participation in inter-professional clinics and rounds
  • Facilitation of therapy groups
  • Program development and evaluation

    • Teaching Duties

  • Participate in teaching activities for Occupational Therapy students, including provision of clinical placements, laboratory teaching, and classroom teaching
  • Participate in teaching students from other disciplines
  • Participate in development of student programs
  • Provide in-service education as appropriate to colleagues

    • Research Duties

  • Participate in research activities as appropriate within the Department of Rehabilitation in collaboration with other departments/professions
    • Job Requirements
  • Experience with administering cognitive assessments (MOCA, MMSE) an asset
  • Currently registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario in good standing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent occupational therapy clinical skills with a broad variety of diagnostic groups
  • Demonstrated excellent skills in collaboration with inter-professional team
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record
