Your Responsibilities & Objectives:

Assist with general laboratory biosafety and maintenance, including inventories, equipment repair, and ordering,
Research and prepare required chemicals and equipment,
Perform feasibility study of immunoassay nanobiosensors,
Carry out functionalization and conjugation of nanostructures on substrate,
Perform immobilization of nanostructureantibody (NS-Ab) on substrate,
Execute characterization of the substrate using reflectance FTIR, fluorescence spectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy,
Detection of breast cancer blood serum biomarker (BCS),
Execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods,
Use lab equipment and software such as, Ocean View, Spectrometers,
Statistically analyze results and prepare data bank using software,
Build, model adapters, brackets, and other experimental tools,
Write full report at the end of each stage,
Assist with preparing manuscripts for submission to peer review publications/journals,
Liaison with industry collaborators,

Required Skills/Education:

Sc. Degree in Nanotechnology Engineering, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering (Bioelectronics), and Biological Sciences
Minimum GPA of 2.75 or equivalent
Must have academic or research experience in the fields of synthesis of nanomaterials, biochemistry, and wetlab
Familiarity with antibodies (e.g., HER-II, CA 153)
Familiarity or experience in: microfluidic systems, cell culture, immunoassay, immobilization of Ab, UV-Vis, FTIR, fluorescence, and Raman spectroscopy, and fluorescence microscopy
Familiarity and experience in electronics, PCB, circuit design (analogue/digital)
Must be familiar with computer programs and algorithms
Conscientious, independent worker who is willing to learn and develop new skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent skills for written and oral communication
