The Role


Info-Tech Research Group is looking for an associate producer / researcher to support the video production process who will develop a strong understanding of our IT research content and play a crucial role bringing these products to life in the form of video.

You will help with content planning and ideation. You will be a key support for the Producer, specifically in the functions of research and content development. You will play a vital part in the pre-production and production phases of filming.


You want to create compelling videos that promote Info-Tech's products and services on the company website, social media, and other platforms.

You will keep a keen eye on industry trends and have a creative eye toward content.

You will know how to visually bring a script or concept to life, often under tight timelines as we develop daily content.

You'll also work alongside a talented team of producers and video editors as a tight-knit creative team.


Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in coordinating the planning and research, including booking guests, and all preproduction info gathering.
  • You pull salient content, stats, and data from blueprints with the understanding of what our target audience.
  • You adhere to deadlines at each stage of producing daily content.
  • You create detailed outlines for each video segment.
  • You script intros and outros.
  • You're able to do a run of show or rundown for the shoot schedule (complete with crew call and talent scheduling).
  • You ensure that everything is set for each shoot day & all rehearsals.
  • You oversee the run of show during shoots ensuring that everything runs on a tight schedule.
  • You help remote guests prepare for their interviews wardrobe, lighting, audio and framing.
  • Work with an interdisciplinary team that includes designers, developers, marketers, social media managers, researchers, and executives.
  • Ensure a consistent tone and "voice" that aligns with the company's brand.

Education and Experience

  • College or university training with a minimum of 5 years handson experience in a studio setting / newsroom, with video production, motion graphics, video/audio editing, and asset management.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years' experience with our research products.
  • Proven ability to work crossteam and incorporate feedback from stakeholders while managing workloads effectively.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver errorfree content.
  • Experience working in an agile, marketdriven company is an asset.

Skills

  • You can navigate our internal IT Research Project List and our published material for key content and insight
  • You coordinate with team members to ensure an ongoing production process
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision at times
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent problemsolving and organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with Jira project management software an asset
  • Ability to schedule and keep everyone on schedule
  • You enjoy problem solving and are always thinking about solutions
