AUTOCAD DRAFTER
At Powerline Plus we focus on three main operations, Electrical, Civil Construction and Engineering & Design. Powerline Plus Ltd.

provides quality solutions to public utilities, municipalities and developers, as well as to industrial, national and international manufacturing companies across the GTA.

Drafters at Powerline Plus Ltd. utilize the most current versions of AutoCAD to precisely draft both civil and electrical power distribution drawings. This individual must be highly motivated and dedicated to work both independently as well as with direction from others. Drafters participate actively and maintain ongoing relations with project coordinators, designers, engineers, and the Engineering & Design Manager.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum two to three (23) years AutoCAD experience required
Knowledge of overhead and underground electrical distribution system design and construction and required permitting and approvals necessary to execute projects
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate effectively and prepare technical reports and analysis
Valid class 'G' license preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Work under senior design engineer to draft and perform calculations for utility design drawings
Accountable for the production of high quality design drafts that incorporate best utility practice in accordance with Toronto Hydro standards and all applicable laws, codes and regulations
Comprehensive understanding of large urban distribution system plans
Interpretation and alteration of electrical and construction drawings
Visit job sites to collect field data
Various administrative tasks to support the Engineering & Design process and functionality of design processes
