The Human Resources Assistant is part of the Research Personnel Project team and plays a key role in providing HR services to faculty and staff across the University.

The HR Assistant creates and/or maintains all electronic and paper employment records for union and non-union groups. The role is responsible for employee benefit advising and enrollment, as well as benefit records management.

This position is responsible for performing confidential clerical, secretarial, and administrative duties supporting employment, labor relations, diplomatic, external relations, and governance activities for the University.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or Administrative Management or a related field and two years directly related experience or equivalent.


  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
  • Knowledge of complex Human Resource/Payroll enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a significant amount of detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
