Overview:
Safety is the number one priority and you will need to follow group policies and promote safe working practices.
Lafarge is hiring
Paving Personnel for construction/maintenance of roads, bridges, and parking lots in Saskatoon and surrounding area.
Responsibilities:
- Daily inspections and maintenance
- Operate skid steers, rollers, milling machines, pavers and/or screed
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout site manually or using powered equipment
- May assist with minor repairs and maintenance
- Participate in daily Pre-Production Meetings
- Complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
Daily Work Details
- Work locations are in and around Saskatoon and will vary during the construction season
- Start dates vary depending on conditions.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience
- Able to work well with others
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Good judgement skills in highpressure situations
- Experience with Topcon and Trimble positioning systems
- Valid Drivers License
- Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
- Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including weekends
