Compensation & Benefits Analyst - Toronto, Canada - Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre

As a
Compensation Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, communication, and day-to-day administration of Sunnybrook compensation and benefits programs.
Specific accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Job Evaluation: Act as the co-chair of the non-union the job evaluation committee. This includes scheduling meetings, training new members, maintaining up-to-date evaluation result records. Provide managers job evaluation process instructions, and specific guidance regarding the preparation of job descriptions.
- External Benchmarking/Surveys: Participate in structured and adhoc salary surveys on behalf of Sunnybrook. Utilize external benchmarking data by analyzing, interpreting and communicating the results of annual and ad hoc competitive market analyses related to Sunnybrook jobs.
- Salary Administration: Manage the stepbased salary adjustment process for nonunion employees. Process union salary increases, and all increases to vacation eligibility.
- HRIS
Data Integrity:
Ensure the input and maintenance of accurate and consistent compensation information in Sunnybrook's HRIS. Ensure data integrity in various benefit provider systems (including HOOPP and Manulife).
- Pay Equity: Assist with pay equity maintenance for Sunnybrook's union and nonunion groups. Review key comparators and monitor salary scale changes in relation to pay equity.
- Costings/Analysis: Collect and analyze data to quantify impacts of human resource decisions. Provide costings for Labour Relations during collective bargaining processes.
- Project Support: Assist in multiple largescale projects underway related to HRIS architecture and compensation program design utilizing a knowledge of best practices, analysis of external comparators, and knowledge of healthcare organizational structure.
- Benefit Administration: Assist with monthly billing reconciliation for benefit providers, accurately maintain various benefits logs, including retiree and sick leave reports. Provide support to long term disability process.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
- Minimum two (2) years compensation related experience preferably including experience in job evaluation
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills expert Excel, proficient Word and PowerPoint
- Proven analytical, mathematical, organizational and problemsolving skills
- Highly detailoriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment
