Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and associated processes; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systemsConduct research on software and systems products as required
Collaborate with the other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
Resolving Hosted services issues and taking ownership of crossfunctional problems, ensuring compliance with SLA's
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problem occurrences
Manage network servers, appliances, and technology tools.
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
Ensure security through appropriate access controls, backups, and firewalls
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Contribute to the planning and implementation of multiple projects.

Knowledge & Experience- Proven experience with VMware VCenter, upgrading VMs and ESXi hosts Proven experience with ADFS 3.0 SSO concepts and implementation Proven experience with SCCM, Intune implementation Proven experience with SQL server, building and running SQL commands will be considered a strong asset Experience with Site24x7, Asset Panda, Zendesk will be considered a strong asset Experience with Load Balancer solutions ie. F5, Barracuda, Azure Load Balancer Experience of network technologies and devices, comfortable creating Cisco ASA FW rules/policies and troubleshooting as required inbound/ outbound traffic Experience with Storage solutions like Compellent, EqualLogic will be considered a strong asset Experience with Radius servers will be considered strong asset Experience with Powershell scripting Windows 10/11 Complete migrations from Windows 2012 R2 to Windows 2019 serversPersonal Attributes- Good project management skills Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
