The Finance Business Partner team supporting the Network Build & Operate (NBO) is an engaged team with a big mandate.

This team provides financial leadership to a group enabling technology deployment and driving operational efficiencies having impact across all TELUS business units.

As trusted partners to the NBO team, our Financial Planning & Analysis Finance team helps solve complex business challenges and help achieve operational and strategic goals.

Our team is looking for YOU - some just as motivated about people as they are about financial analysis You will be a fundamental contributor to our overall consolidated NBO reporting as well as assisting with direct business unit support.

You will translate financial data into value-added reporting and high-level stories that ultimately help drive decision-making. Using your fresh eyes and creative approach, you will help to simplify and improve our processes. Here's how

Assist with the consolidating reporting for the whole NBO team including Budget, Triage, Strat Check and monthly results
Assist in preparing presentation materials for VP/SVP level presentations
Act as a Finance Prime for assigned business unit with the support of a controller
Lead the analysis and reporting of monthly, quarterly, yearly financial and performance metrics including variance explanations, which get to the reasons for the results; with the goal of enhancing business understanding and decisionmaking
Maintain SAP Hierarchy and organizational changes and manage the budge transfer process
Complete adhoc investigations, analysis and reporting as required
Identify, develop and implement process improvements through simplification and automation, to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness

Minimum of 3 years of relevant financial analysis experience
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is an asset

Great-to-haves

Experience in the telecommunications, ITsystems and/or security sector
Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion, SAP S4 Hana knowledge would be an asset
Proficient knowledge of MS Office (advanced Excel and Access to build complex IF type of statements, code macros) and Google Suite
