We are thrilled to announce that we are hiring Sessional Instructors for our Bachelor of Hospitality Management.


TITLE
:
HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT - INSTRUCTOR (Sessional)


  • HOSP100 Introduction to Hospitality_
  • This course provides a comprehensive introduction to all facets of a rapidly evolving hospitality industry starting with a historical perspective and then exploring all facets of hotel, food, and beverage service operations. It addresses the role of Internet technology in hospitality operations, marketing, and especially its role in creating and sustaining customer relations over time. Through case studies, contextual exercises, and team projects students will examine how the principles of hospitality operations are applied in a variety of evolving circumstances.
  • HOSP110 Fundamentals of Lodging Operations Management _This course provides a comprehensive introduction to fundamental management principles and practices as applied to a range of 21st century challenges that organizations face in maintaining the ability to successfully deliver goods and services across a variety of administrative, sociopolitical, and cultural contexts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR SESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR:

  • 2 years of experience teaching the same or similar courses at another BC postsecondary institution
  • Industry experience will be considered an asset

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Able to prepare detailed lesson plans
  • Able to use technology and online teaching technique
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent instructional capability
  • Able to maintain professionalism
  • Strong Proficiency in English

Salary:
Sessional Instructors ($6,000 to $6,500 per course, per term)
