Temporary Administration / Accounts Receivable Specialist (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile incoming customer payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Generate and send customer invoices, ensuring compliance with established billing procedures.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports, following up on overdue payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries related to invoices and payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update relevant databases.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including accounts receivable aging summaries and cash flow projections.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Assist in maintaining vendor relationships and processing vendor invoices as needed.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and uptodate financial information.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years minimum experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or financial administration.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Problemsolving skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems or accounting software is a plus.

Duration:
This is a temporary role to cover a maternity leave period, with an estimated duration of 12 months. There is potential for the role to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
