- Create territory and account plans to analyze and forecast spend patterns of assigned customers in order to evaluate the new license revenue needed to hit quota;
- Expand network of contacts within assigned accounts seeking to engage with senior leaders and executives;
- Generate new license revenue within assigned accounts by understanding current business problems, building knowledge of how RJR solutions are positively impacting the client's business and ensuring the customer has a good understanding of RJR's value proposition;
- Increase spend rate/revenue per account
- Occasional out of town travel with or without notice
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the customers' historical sales or needs
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential customers
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, three-month rolling sales forecasts (updated and submitted weekly) and monthly and annual territory analyses
- Producing and submitting written proposals and quotations in pursuit of business opportunities using: Standard rates and pricing parameters as set forth by management; deviation from established rates requires management approval
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and marketing techniques
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management
- Prepares customer's personnel, contractors, and other trade factors with product knowledge and selling skills by conducting and/or participating in sales promotion and educational meetings
- Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
- Has good working knowledge of all company products and services that are available to our customers
- Fluent bilingualism in French and English is required
- A diploma/certificate in post secondary education or equivalent experience;
- Able to adapt style to the situation and parties
- Mature approach – focuses on areas and clients that will yield the greatest return for RJR and deliver the greatest value for the client
- Works very independently and is highly self-motivated
- Has the mental agility to handle multiple tasks and large accounts
- Has strong analytical, financial, conceptual and strategic thinking skills
- Bias for action, eliminating obstacles to secure an order whilst fully understanding client drivers and politics
- Able to fully articulate, understand and deliver strategic product messages
- Leverages internal processes, while understanding their challenges and limitations
- Has a comprehensive understanding of the client's decision making process and Procurement process
- Must be able to report reliable data by auditing the flow of data, developing check points and controlling credibility of company data
- Able to create and maintain the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports
- Issues periodic statistical reports of a general and/or specialized nature
- Demonstrate the ability to properly forecast in achieving corporate financial goals aligned with corporate objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, which will enable the candidate to build positive relationships and work with all levels of staff and clientele;
