Our team of 700+ staff see clients virtually and physically from our downtown Toronto and Oakville clinics.


The Role:
Medcan is looking to hire a Catering Coordinator to join our catering brand, Nourish.

The position will be responsible for taking orders, connecting with clients to explain our offerings, create and send out invoices, and work closely with the Executive Chef and Director of Hospitality to ensure the success of the Nourish brand.


The Accountabilities:

  • Supports the Director of Hospitality, Nourish Chef & Culinary Team.
  • Serves as the primary order taker for Nourish catering & meal delivery programs.
  • Serves as client liaison; ensures payment/billing/invoicing is submitted and collected.
  • Facilitate internal Medcan catering requirements for AHA & Lunches with Hospitality Manager.
  • Organize and maintain the Medcan event calendar with *Hospitality Manager.
  • Manages Nourish driver & delivery schedule.
  • Effectively manages the workplace environment in the Nourish kitchen including proper inventory of operational supplies, entering work tickets, scheduling of service visits, etc.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure proper pricing and delivery.
  • Consolidates and enters vendor invoices into Workday to ensure payment.
  • Provide additional assistance as directed by Nourish Management, including occasional delivery duties.
  • Outbound Sales: Generate catering leads and drive sales via client outreach including inperson meetings.
  • Special event coordination including all aspects of client engagement, menu selection, coordination of rentals and staffing.
  • Supports offsite events as required.
  • Liaise with Nourish Chefs & Medcan's Marketing team in support of Nourish campaigns and initiatives.
  • Supports merchandising initiatives including daily management of Nourish Kiosk program.
  • Facilitate research & development relating to health food trends, new/alternative products, and packaging.
  • Assist Nourish kitchen from time to time with ordering, stock rotation, and inventory.

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Food & Beverage operation
  • Valid G2 Drivers Licence with clean abstract
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites and locations
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management
This is a permanent, full-time position that is scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours is required on occasion. This is a hybrid position working 2 days/week at 150 York St in downtown Toronto.
