KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installing fall protection systems and performing fall protection inspections at a variety of customer sites under the direction of the Crew Supervisor.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with the company procedures and policies for specific jobs.
  • Maintaining safe work practices, the Installer provides a working example of safe methods for working at heights.
  • Completing site inspections of existing fall protection systems and anchors
  • Communicate professionally with clients and other work groups
  • Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • 35 years of related work experience
  • Trades certificates related to mining or construction would be beneficial
  • Ability to read and interpret project/building drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to problem solve and relay concise and effective solutions for any issues encountered in the field in an effort to not delay or defer project completions
  • A sound understanding of safety regulations and standards, with preference towards comprehension and detailed understanding of CSA Z259 Fall Protection standards
  • Familiarization and experience with operating a computer/tablet in order to complete required project documentation
  • Any safety related training certificates would be considered an asset
  • Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
