Job Summary:

The Live Event and Media Production Team looks after a wide array of festivals and events through the year.

Working primarily out of, Meadowvale Theatre, Paramount Fine Food Centre and Celebration Square the team setups up, programs and operates different audio, Lighting and Video equipment for each Event and Broadcast.

As part of a larger team you will assist with all aspects of the event setup and operation.

This position offers valuable hands on experience working with industry standard equipment and encourages you to continually enhance your skills through hands on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate Production related equipment such as; video switchers, replay units, audio consoles, lighting boards, cameras, comm systems, etc.
Review Production paperwork and develop operational plan for event. including the setup and operation in different environments depending on show requirements, and safety considerations.
Work with team to ensure systems and equipment are configured for the specific event requirements.
Work with clients to ensure the needs of their show requirements are met.
Ensure Systems are functional and safe for use.
Lead a smaller team in setup and operation.
Offer solutions to show questions or problems and know when to direct client to supervisor(s).
Properly document equipment issues and report problems to Supervisor.
Disassemble and clean or repair equipment components

Skills and Qualifications:

Postsecondary with a specialization in a specific technical area.
35 years of experience working with production equipment in an operator roll.
1 3 years of design experience (lighting/sound)
Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
Emergency First Aid

Hourly Rate/Salary:
$20.77-$26.24

Hours of Work:
up to 40
