Barber Collins is looking for Casual / Relief guards to cover sick and vacation shifts at sites around Waterloo Region and the Guelph Area.

Must be able to work 12 hr day shifts and Night shifts during the week:

Must have a personal vehicle as shifts are not on bus routes:

Must be able to work over 24 hrs a week if needed.

APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET ALL THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Duties:

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV cameras and other security equipment
Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, and take appropriate action
Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of securityrelated activities
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:

Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, security procedures, and loss prevention strategies
Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
