Job Description:
Arcadis IBI Group is currently seeking Transportation Field Research Representatives to aid in a commercial vehicle travel analysis study for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for spring through fall 2023.
Most of the things you'll work on:
- Administer surveys to truck drivers in designated outdoor truck inspection stations and record their responses using a tablet computer, provided
- Site setup and teardown
- Participate in training sessions both inclass and in the field on how to use questionnaire software and additional tools
- Maintain employee health and safety by working closely with the Management Team
- Work closely onsite with Provincial MTO Enforcement Officers
- Work in a variety of locations across Ontario travel and overnight stays will be required (provided by Arcadis IBI Group)
Qualifications:
You'll need to have:
- Basic level computer skills
Can communicate well in both English and French:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule comprising approximately 8-10 hour shifts at various times of the day including weekend and overnight shifts
- Ability to travel for up to several days at a time; travel and hotel expenses will be paid
- Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with the geographical locations of cities, provinces and states in North America
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- An understanding of the importance of productivity, and collecting accurate data
- Requirement of limited supervision while on the job
- Mature demeanor
- Valid G2 driver's license and ability to drive a rental automobile
- Valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
- Ability to speak other languages (esp. Hindi or Punjabi) is considered an asset
We are currently in a work from home model during COVID-19, but when we do return to the office we are located at 55 St.
Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, it is the largest office at IBI Group. The floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects. You'll have direct access to management while benefitting from our enthusiastic and helpful organizational resources team.
